Why study Microbiology and Immunology at Dal?

Study tiny organisms and make a big impact

Microbiologists study microorganisms and viruses. Among other things, immunologists want to know how larger organisms (such as humans) respond to foreign objects, many of which are very small. These two disciplines are thus inextricably linked. Studying them together means you鈥檒l be widely prepared for future career opportunities.

If you thrive in a smaller campus environment, consider doing the first year in the听Truro Start Program.听This program听gives you the opportunity to join a small cohort with dedicated resources and support to build a strong foundation in your chosen field before transitioning into your second and final years in Halifax.
